printers

printers are an old technology, i think theyve been around since the 80s, they had dot matrix then ink then laser, where its at today

before setting up printers were a hassle, different drivers, inf hell, cups hell, etc, but now they're basically plug and play. theres wifi printers as well, so you can connect to a 2.4ghz+ wifi connection and it'll print over wifi, and you can always buy a networked printer for about the same price. the best are laser printers, color laser printers, and theyre about 200$

before i continue, i just want to say backing up data and printing important information is critical to a home computing ecosphere; where you can get important documents and back them up in pdf format, and print them for safe keeping, either in folders or a filing cabinet, which will cost you

we're talking receipts to password and confirmation emails, and you'll need a filing scheme as well

you can always save, backup, and print important websites, emails, and file formats; you can even save the source code for a program and print it out for safe keeping, anything on your screen can be printed (printscreen and print)

but more on laser printers, here are the cons: theyre expensive, buying ink can be expensive, you need paper, which costs about 5$ per stack, theyre prone to breaking, and they take up a considerable amount of space

heres a printer id suggest, the good manufactorers are epson, brother, and cannon (lol):
this one has a scanner, a copy machine (good for postal mail), and a fax machine, which is good but not that great enough for business. the fax is good enough for doing work with the government, you can even fax the white house, you can fax the white house all day now
hp officejet 9125e
this supports wifi, usb, ethernet and also some sort of vpn (more on networking on a home lan later)
