i used to bank with bank of america; i still have the account for statements, which i need to download and back up now that i think about it.

but wells fargo has some pretty stern overdraft protection, theres an option to invest (stocks are cool to invest with but companies do notice when you invest in them.), you can open up accounts directly on there website, they have a decent turn around time when it comes getting debit and credit cards (i got mine in a week, which is normal), they have a good interface to their website,

more on their stock market interface; you can buy/sell as long as the market is open, trading is free, you can buy virtually any stock, but there is a turn around time of about 2 weeks before you can transfer out of your savings account

i personally invested 50$ and made a good dollar, which is about 2%, which is good overnight, good for extra cash

if your going the route of student loans, please consider a savings account to build up interest, otherwise they do have student checking accounts for people who have close to 10k to inveset and need a good checking account. it will take upwards of a week to get your debit card and start charging however, if youre unsure please use your normal checking account. you can always goto one of their branches and get your debit card asap

the debit cards they have are red, which is cool, and yeah, they offer online banking. i signed up for the 300$ bonus when opening a new checking account (i had to put about 2.5k in to get the 300$), pretty cool bank. wells fargo has a branch in every major city and town

turn around times for starting a new account are pretty much instant, i didnt face a penalty for opening up a bank account, and any service any bank offers, wells fargo offers. ill probably stay a wells fargo fan for a long time!

they also offer loans, which requires a decent credit score and requires ability to pay them back or face a severe penalty when it comes to your credit score

there are other banks, personally i wanted to sign up with the bank of egypt (im like with all you guys do for us you have your own bank how cute), but i choose wells fargo for domestic banking. howveer when i do get money, i wouldnt hestitate to open an off shore banking account for collecting foreign currency or foreign services
