selective service reg is required for financial aid!
forgot to mention but for financial aid including student loans, you need to be registered with selective service, which everyone shouldve gotten a form to sign up with in high school
if you refused or didnt, i think you can ask selective services to provide an exemption, which means your free to take out financial aid, but it does register you in a database with the us government, which isnt publcized, meaning law enfrocement, government officials, or even private companies can find out if your getting financial aid, remotely, or through some kind of firm
selective service takes a while to register and provide notification to community colleges for financial aid, but yahoo ai states that: "If you are over 26 and did not register, you may need to provide a reason for your failure to register when applying for federal benefits.", which means your finacial aid is a go, provide you call selective services, website is www.sss.gov
i registered at around 30, i didnt register in high school because of the war on afghanistan, but yeah, i was provided an exemption for my diagnosis of schizoaffetive.. which is sad because, yeah, had a diagnosis of sane but this asshole er doctor was butthurt because i helped comedy central over email, more on that some other fucking day, its like, if you dont like unsolicted mail being sent to fucking comedy central, like, i dont know, fucking, learn how to make a bomb or somehting, fucking, terrorist son of a bitch, ruined my time helping what i think was jon stewart
but yeah, if your college says your unable to get financial aid because your not registered with the selective servcie, and i believe the cut off for registering is age 26, you can file an appeal and get your fiancnial aid benefits reinstated
thats it for now!
