rolling out your own linux distro: lfs, linux from scratch
the link to the linux from scratch website is https://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/> and there are plenty of other awesome projects, such as the gaming for linux from scratch, at linuxfromscratch.org
i think theyre books as well, pair this with the printer/scanner combo and you have something to read on vacations!
here is the html version, i believe its the latest version: https://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/downloads/stable/LFS-BOOK-12.3-NOCHUNKS.html
you can easily automate all of this with a bash script, or if you know lisp, an emacs addon!
and yes, this version supports the linux 6.13 kernel, if you want to modify the source and or the user space apps, and do awesome stuff, feel free! this is a long standing internet resource, and it wont go away!
but yeah, it'll involve alot of compiling, so you'll need a fast machine, remember to activate paralell builds so you can compile with all cores on your processor, and you can include other stuff, and yeah, id say what i want but yeah, companies man, but yeah, oh, you can probably just make one big ass make file that does all this stuff, and with the other articles, such as lexical parsing and text manipulation from bash arguments, etc, or other techniques
so if you want to code something, and were always into the higher (and lower lol) forms of procederal programming, check out the linux from scratch project!! roll out your own linux distro!!
happy coding!
